The freshwater pearls used in my pieces are AA/AAA+ grade pearls.
They're chosen for their beautiful lustre and quality, and they add a soft, natural elegance to every design. No two pearls are the same and I deeply love the subtle variations in shape and texture that make them so special.
These natural imperfections are a reminder of their origin and how nature function, and are part of the beauty I love most.
I handmake the ceramic beads myself and it all started after making some for Mother Blessings I attended. One of the rituals involves each woman bringing a bead to bless with her intentions for the mother-to-be and her baby. The beads are then woven into a piece that the mother keeps on her birth altar.
These beads feel incredibly special and carry so much love and intention. I wanted to incorporate them into my pieces, adding another meaningful handcrafted element.
